FREE Tax Service at the Library from VITA

FREE tax service is available from VITA volunteers BY APPOINTMENT ONLY for patrons with an Earned Income limit of $63,400.

Tax appointments can be scheduled starting Tuesday, January 20 at 10am by calling the library at 412-882-5694.

Appointments will be available on Saturdays, February 7 – March 28, 2026 from 10am-2pm.

• Each appointment is a 20-minute drop-off appointment for each taxpayer. Separate tax returns for other family members will require separate appointment times.
• Your tax return will be ready for pick-up the following Saturday.
• Earned Income limit this year is $63,400.
• Documents to bring include:
  1. Identity documents (Photo ID and Social Security cards.)
  2. Earnings statements (W-2, Unemployment, Self-employment income & expenses, etc.)
  3. Retirement statements (Social Security, 1099-R Pensions, IRAs, etc.)
  4. Other income (Interest, dividends, investments, gambling winnings, etc.)
  5. Other tax documents (Property taxes, education expenses, Health Marketplace statement, etc.)
  6. Bring last year’s tax return and the tax documents used to prepare that return.
